Not a return at all...

I know the name of this blog is Return to Sims, but it's not really a return. It's more like a conversion of the old to the new. I want to tell the stories of how Pleasantview and Strangetown came to be. I mean, haven't you ever wondered how Bella disappeared? Or how Jenny became a Smith, married to an alien?

I'm sure if you've ever played The Sims, you've seen the famous Goth family, and Bella. She's perhaps the most famous Sim to ever exist, and her family is one of the few who has appeared in all 3 games. Well it's Bella and her interesting story that gave me this idea. The Sims 3 is supposed to be a prequel to the original Sims by 25 years, and 50 years before The Sims 2. Bella is still an adorable little girl, and everything has yet to happen. I want to tell her story, and the stories of the Dreamers and the Calientes and the Pleasants.

And yes, this involves Strangetown too. After all, after being abducted from Pleasantview the aliens leave a mind-wiped Bella there. ;) Add in all the other fascinating Sim stories from Strangetown, and how could I not write about them too?

My story will start in the current Sims 3 game. EA has conveniently already given me the majority of Pleasantview, just a few years apart. I'll fix that so they all wind up the right age, and then they'll meet. It should be interesting to see if I can pull this off. At the least, it'll be an entertaining wipe-out! Hm...I guess I'll leave you with a quick overview of where all of EA's premade Pleasantview characters are:

Broke - Riverview

Caliente - Barnacle Bay

Dreamer - Lucky Palms

Goth - Sunset Valley

Lothario - Riverview

Pleasant - Sunlit Tides

Burb - Dragon Valley

Oldie - must be created

If you want to review the whole story of Pleasantview, you can go check The Sims Wiki and read all about the relationships and the families...the whole fascinating thing! :)
